Hi! I’m Emma Gladden,
Music Education Major. Classical Vocalist. Life Long Learner. Passionate about sharing my love and appreciation for music.
Emma was born and raised in Texas. Her mother is a general music teacher, flutist, and classical vocalist, so she has been surrounded by music since a very young age. Emma attended The Oakridge School, a private K-12 college prep school in Arlington, Texas. In high school she was an honors student and involved in choir, musical theater, drumline, and Key Club. In 2016 - 2019 Emma was selected to sing in the TPSMEA All State Choir. In 2018 she was selected to sing in the TMEA Small School All-State Choir.
Currently, Emma is a student at The University of Miami's Frost School of Music in pursuit of a Bachelor's of Music Education and a Performance Certificate in Classical Voice. She is an active member of UM's ACDA chapter and serves as Historian for UM's NAfME chapter (@umfcnafme). On weekends she devotes her time to working with The Miami Children's Chorus as a Teaching Assistant. Emma is also an active member in Sigma Alpha Iota's Sigma Chi Chapter. As a member of FMEA, she attends FMEA's annual professional development conference. She is also an amateur photographer and has taken pictures for UMFCNAfME, Frost Choral Studies, SAI Sigma Chi, and MCC.
